• Make a Yo-Yo Santa for a special friend, maybe someone who loves antique quilts. Fill his big pockets with cards of antique buttons, a needle case, a collector’s thimble, or other treasures you know your friend collects.
* Make a Christmas morning Santa and tuck him into stockings when “Santa” fills them with long-awaited treasures. Consider making his clothes from fabric that would be very characteristic of the person receiving him. Use fabric marking pens and write Merry Christmas and date on the vest for each person.
• Use the luminary appliqué shapes to make gift bags. Purchase small shopping bags, decorate and fill with homemade goodies. Also, make a bag full of decorated gift bags.
