Deb Tucker Ruler Lab

If you have not used a Deb Tucker ruler you are in for a treat.  The TuckerTrimmer takes the frustration out of making half-square triangles, combined square triangles, and quarter square triangles.  Using the Wing Clipper, your flying geese units will be perfect.  I believe De Tucker rulers are some of the best rulers and mastering these two rulers gives you a great start to eliminating a lot of the frustrations in block construction.

Machine Quilting

Too many quilt tops and not enough time? Tired of machine quilting “in the ditch”? Well, drop those feed dogs and take off with all the lovely quilting stencils that you really want to use. This hands-on class will focus on freehand quilting with information and demonstrations of quilting with a darning foot, nylon thread and various other specialty threads. Proper techniques for quilting full sized quilts will also be discussed. Students must know how to remove, cover or lower feed dogs and must have a darning foot

Diamonds in the Sky

The blocks in this quilt give an alternating diamond illusion.  With the Corner Beam ruler, you’ll quickly cut the needed shapes from strips and squares.  The ruler makes it easy to achieve perfect points.  Choose a light or dark background to create a brilliant high contrast quilt.  We’ll make four corner beam units and sew them together in one block to get you started on this beautiful quilt.  Fabric kits like the store sample are available.

Twister Tool Lab

Have you been admiring the projects that use the popular Twister tools?  Learn this fun technique while working on your favorite project.  Choose a quilt, table runner, tote bag, or other project and join us for a day of fun.

Meadowland

Meadowland is the quilt pattern that no one makes just once! It’s fast and fun: fat quarter friendly–just add background fabric, or use half yards or scraps. The large 16” blocks showcase your fabrics. No sashing or borders speeds up the finishing. Once finished, you will want to make this quilt again!   We will also be making a 20” design board.
